IKM Staff Position: Project Manager

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager reports to the Partner or Principal-In-Charge and is responsible for directing activities of the project team. Other responsibilities include planning /design, scheduling project review meetings with IKM Design Review (DRC) & Quality Control (QCC) Committees, managing detailed communication with client representatives, consultants, and contractors; coordination of work on multi-discipline projects, oversight/rectification of opinions of cost; management of all project related data, resolution of agency approvals, and primary construction administrator. An IKM Project Manager has primary responsibility for delivering work that meets the expectation of our clients and IKM’s vision for the built environment.

Requirements:

The candidate should have a professional degree in architecture, professional registration, and 8-12 years of increasing responsibility in market sector related projects. The candidate must also demonstrate knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials & codes, construction techniques, and experience coordinating the work of other disciplines. Proficiency in CADD is required.

IKM Staff Position: Project Architect/ Project Coordinator:

Description:

Strong team leadership, knowledge acquisition, focused on quality and completeness.

Responsibilities:

Communication of project status and issues under review to Project Manager. Coordination and scheduling of staff resources and consultants to meet project mile stones. Author of Construction Document Set. Development of outline and detailed specification with assistance of Director of Technical Support. Plays supporting role in Project Manager’s presentation of project development to IKM DRC & QCC. Gatekeeper for the application of IKM office standards for documentation, code & zoning requirements, and technical material research. Point of contact for questions during bidding, shop drawing review, and construction administration. Maintenance of project files and documents.

Requirements:

The candidate should have a professional degree in architecture, professional registration or nearing the end of registration process, and 5-7 years of increasing responsibility. Technical competency in the application of building codes and building systems, understanding of construction materials & assemblies, detailed knowledge of Design - Bid - Build methodology for project delivery. Proficiency in CADD is required.

IKM Staff Position: Staff Architect/ Job Captain:

Description:

Commitment to teamwork and follow through of tasks, ability to follow and execute directions, an understanding of design intent to be developed at building detail level.

Responsibilities:

Development of Construction Drawings including plans, elevations, building & wall sections, and construction details required as determined necessary by the Project Architect. Follow direction and guidance of Project Architect in the development of the Construction Document Set. Assist Project Architect during bidding and construction administration.

Requirements:

The candidate should have a professional degree in architecture, pursuing professional registration through IDP, and 3-7 years of experience. Technical competency in the detailing of construction materials & assemblies, detailed knowledge of IKM office standards for project documentation. Proficiency in CADD is required.
