The addition provides space for a dedicated children’s waiting area as well as a general waiting area. Registration, triage, infectious isolation and decontamination are all included within the 14,000 square foot addition.
PIttsburgh healthcare architects, IKM Incorporated were selected to design of the addition to the existing Indiana Regional Medical Center to create a state-of-the-art Emergency Department. The program called for twenty exam/treatment rooms and three dedicated trauma rooms. Separate entrances are provided for ambulance patients and ambulatory/walk-in patients.
